Yukon University is a public university in Yukon, Canada. It was established from the Whitehorse Vocational and Technical Training Centre in 1965. In1983 the campus gained its college status, and it was recognized as a university in 2019. Research Centre’s at Yukon University mainly draws its research on western science and Indigenous knowledge to create and share innovative northern solutions. Some of its focus areas are climate change and adaptation in northern Canada, impacts of thawing permafrost on infrastructure, climate policy and decision-making support, sustainable energy production, mine remediation.

Yukon University offers certificates, diplomas, and degrees through six academic areas – the School of Academic and Skill Development, School of Science, School of Trades, Technology and Mining, School of Health, Education and Human Services, School of Liberal Arts, and the School of Business and Leadership.
