Western Sydney University

Campuses

In 2001, the university began operating as a single university with multiple campuses, instead of a federal university. In 2015 the university went through a rebranding. This resulted in its renaming to Western Sydney University from the University of Western Sydney. The school currently consists of 6 campuses which are the Bankstown campus, Blacktown campus, Campbelltown campus, Hawkesbury campus, Parramatta campus, and Penrith campus. 

University Life

The university offers a conducive environment for personal and professional growth. It offers opportunities for entertainment, sports and recreation, and community engagement. There are up to 150 student clubs to choose from. The various campus facilities include computer laboratories, libraries, cafes, wireless internet, gyms, bars, tennis courts, and other sporting grounds. 

Student Numbers

The school offers diverse learning environments. The environments include on-campus, clinical learning environments, online, and community and professional settings that provide hands-on experience. The total number of students in the school is 32, 671. Of the total number of students, 20% are international students. 

Accommodation Services

The school offers a range of accommodation facilities. Not only are they of high quality, but they are also affordable. The environment provided is rich for learning and living. Also, the rooms are well furnished. Other than accommodation services, the school offers other services such as counselling services, disability services, and student welfare services. 

Research and Scholarships

Western Sydney University is research-led and globally focused as well. It consists of 11 research centres and institutes. It also offers undergraduate scholarships every year. The scholarships it offers are merit-based scholarships.
