The University of Waikato is located in Hamilton; the main campus spreads over 158 acres of land. The university also owns a satellite campus located in Tauranga. The campus also features laboratories, administrative offices, libraries, classrooms, recreational facilities, and residences. There are three libraries in the library complex on the campus.
