Research
The University of the Highlands is actively engaged in research, and it researches by establishing a successful relationship with the research institutes. The name of the research institutes is Environmental Research Institute, Archaeology Institute, Language Sciences Institute, The Rivers and Lochs Institute, Institute for Northern Studies. The university is also involved in postgraduate research.
Programs and academic groups
It has been generalized that not all the colleges will be offering different courses to the students on each campus. Argyll College does not have its campus, while North Highland College has four campuses. In Caithness, it has two campuses, where the main campus is in Thurso, and the other campus is in Wick. Moray College UHI also has its campus, which is located in the ancient cathedral town of Elgin.
