The University of the Fraser Valley is located in Fraser Valley, east of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was established in1974, and in 1988, it finally became a university college and was granted the status of degree. It later came to be known as one of the many largest university colleges in entire Canada. The university has around 15,176 in total.

Campus

The university also has campuses in areas like Abbotsford, Mission, Hope, and Chilliwack. Besides this, the university is also growing its presence in Chandigarh, India. Abbotsford acted as the very first permanent campus of the university. The Chilliwack campus is situated in Canada Education Park and hosts the Trade and Technology Centre. To be more specific, the south Chilliwack campus is situated at Canada Education Park. 

Hope is a regional center that has established its partnership with the Fraser Cascade school district. In the case of Mission, it is a temporary campus that offers adult primary education and continuing education. Along with that, the university also has libraries in Abbotsford and Chilliwack. 

Research

The university has also engaged in research besides encouraging students to conduct research. It holds a total number of three Canada Research Chairs along with a university’s Regional Innovation Chair. The university is also home to a total number of ten research centers and institutes, including the Centre for Global Development, Community Health and Social Innovation Hub, Food and Agriculture Institute, South Asian Studies Institute, Luminescence Dating Lab, and more. 

Programs and Academic Groups

The University of the Fraser Valley offers various courses through faculties and schools. It offers several bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, diplomas, master’s degrees, and citations. The students can choose a course that the University of the Fraser Valley has to offer that resonates with their passion and a course that interests them. 

To be very specific, there are three schools and seven faculties.

Student Life

In the case of accommodation, the university offers only one residence known as Baker House. The residence is on the Abbotsford campus. Each suite of that residence has one microwave, minifridge. The students can opt for buying a meal plan at the university as well. The students can also opt for off-campus housings.

 In terms of off-campus, the students can look for apartments, basement suites, and shared housings. The university has a partnership with a room rental website that the students can find on the official website and look for off-campus housings.
