The University of Salford has a main Peel Park campus that was opened on 22 August 1846. This campus of the university has all the essential main buildings. The university also has a library which was opened in 1971, and Prince Philip opened it.
Research
The University’s John Armstrong Welsh Laboratories has the KidsCan Children’s Cancer Research Centre. The university is engaged in more than one research program that contributes to the region’s economy.
