The University of Prince Edward Island is a public university in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, and the only campus in the province. It was founded in 1860 as the Prince Wales College. Through transformations and upgrades over the years, the institute gained its university status in 1969 as a non-denominational campus and was named the University of Prince Edward Island.

University of Prince Edward Island is located at 550 University Ave, C1A 4P3, Charlottetown. The campus is under Hon. Catherine Calibeck as the university’s chancellor. It is home to around 4,600 both local and international students and 245 academic staff.
The campus provides its students with many athletics amenities, a public recreation facility located on the campus that includes two hockey rinks, swimming pools with diving boards, and games.
