This university is located in Fredericton and Saint John, Canada. It is one of the oldest English language universities in Canada and is also one of the oldest public universities in North America. The University of New Brunswick was established in 1785, about 236 years ago. The total number of students that the university has is 8,303 among these students, 897 are postgraduate students, and 7,406 students are undergraduates.

The University of New Brunswick has two campuses known as Fredericton and Saint John. Fredericton campus was first founded, and then a smaller campus known as Saint John was established. Fredericton has shared the College Hill with St. Thomas University, while the Saint John campus has New Brunswick’s Anglophone medical school, Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick. The university also has two small satellite health sciences campuses, and they are located in Moncton and Bathurst.

The library of the University of New Brunswick stocks several study materials. To be very specific, the university library stores items such as journals, books, eBooks, references, data, and more.  The library also stores research papers from various programs that help both the students and the teaching staff. 

Research

The university has an active involvement in research, where it holds around 11 Canada Research Chairs. Besides this, it is also home to over 60 research centers and institutes. The university has shouldered responsible for conducting around 75 percent of overall university research in the entire province. 

One of the university’s many achievements in the field of research includes developing the technology used by Google, which is also a research partner with the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory.  Apart from all this, it is also known as the world’s first research center in dermoskeletics.

No matter which campus the students choose, they will access facilities like fitness classes and even outdoor activities such as kayaking and snowshoeing. In the case of off-campus housing, the students can look for apartments and get themselves well-furnished off-campus apartments.
