As the name suggests, the University of Manchester is located in Manchester, England. It is a public type university and was officially formed in 2004. It was formed by the merge mechanism of the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and the Victoria University of Manchester. There are around 40,50 students, among which 13,395 students are pursuing post-graduation and 26,855 students pursuing undergraduates.

The university has a main campus where it constitutes most of the facilities. The thing is that Manchester itself is not a campus university, and it is centrally based in the city. The university has a North as well as a South campus. Each building of the university’s campus within convenient walking distance of each other.

Before merging, the two universities were sharing their residential facilities. There are various halls of residences in Victoria Park Campus and Fallowfield campus as well.
