The University of Greenwich is a public university located in London and Kent in the United Kingdom. It was launched in 1890 as the Woolwich Polytechnic, in 1970 it was changed to Thames Polytechnic, and it received its royal charter 1n 992, and it was named The University of Greenwich.

The University of Greenwich is under Lord Boateng and Professor Jane Harrington as the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor. The institution has three campuses: Greenwich campus (London), Avery hill campus (London), and Medway campus (Kent). The campus hosts over 18000 students and around 3000 staff members.

The University of Greenwich has a central hub for further teachings and social spaces across the campuses. The student village at Avery Hill campus provides accommodation for over 1000 students. Its on-site facilities include; cafes, canteen, shops, a launderette, bicycle parking, and a gym. The Medway campus has over 350 rooms in five halls that are ready for students’ accommodation.
