The University College of the North is in Northern Manitoba, Canada. It is a university-type college and is a post-secondary institution. It is one of many prestigious colleges in entire Canada. The university constitutes around 2,400 students. In 1966, it was known as Keewatin Community College, but eventually, on July 1, 2004, it was known as the University College of the North.

Campus
In the case of campus, the university college of the North has two of them. The two main campuses of the university college lie in The Pas and Thompson. On its campus, the university conducts weekly recreation as well as wellness programs. Besides this, the university also hosts yoga programs. The university also has a cafeteria for its students and faculty members. The university also has a library where all the essential details and records are kept.

The University College of the north is not involved in any research, so it is associated with any research centers and institutes or Canada Research Chairs.

Student Life
The students get three types of accommodation to choose from. Firstly, the family housing type is located in both the campus of the Pas and Thompson. The second type of accommodation is Carroll hall which is located on the Pas campus. The last accommodation is 11/21 Copper that is situated on the Thompson campus. The students can choose accommodations that suit them the best and come under their budget.
In family housing type accommodation, there are 24 family units in total which are located at both the campuses. In such accommodation, seventeen units have two bedrooms while seven units have four bedrooms. In all the units, there will be a dryer, washer, stove, and fridge. In Carroll hall, the students will get a single bed, storage cubbies, study table, kitchen table, dresser, closet, garbage can, and a kitchen table. The rooms that are shared with roommates will have a minifridge.
In the case of 11 and 21 copper residences, each building has around 19 units. In 11 copper, some accommodations are furnished while some accommodations are unfurnished. In the case of 21 copper, entire accommodations are furnished with amenities such as curtains, couch, coffee table, glassware, cutlery, dishes, microwaves, coffee pot, and more. Each unit of the 11 and 21 copper residences consists of a dishwasher except for the bachelor units.
