Campus

The university’s main campus covers about 250 acres of land and is situated in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, and has around 40 acres of gardens. Besides this, it also has a satellite campus known as Williams Lake in BC’s Cariboo Chilcotin region, and it also has regional centers. The regional centers are in Clearwater, Barriere, Ashcroft, 100 Mile House, and Lillooet.

The Thompson Rivers University also has a library that constitutes everything ranging from a research paper, courses reserves, needed books, and more.

Research

Thompson Rivers University plays an active role in research activities and researches real-life solutions. The university also encourages both the students of graduate and undergraduate levels to engage in research activities. 

Programs and Academic Groups

The university offers open learning, online distance, online and blended learning to its students in every faculty and school. When it comes to programs, the university offers around 140 programs on-campus. The university also has a distance education division which is known as TRU-Open Learning. Apart from this, it also offers around 60 distance programs, and it does that through its open learning division. 

The Thompson Rivers University has a total number of nine faculties which are as follows:

Student Life

The university offers excellent accommodation to its students at 11 stories on the west side of the campus. It offers its students the options of living in executive loft suites, two-bedroom suites, and four-bedroom suites.

There are vaulted ceilings on the 11th floor of the storey in executive loft suits along with necessities and a queen-sized bedroom. In the two-bedroom suite, there are two beds with a personal kitchenette and a three-piece bathroom. In the four-bedroom suite, there will be four private bedrooms that will have double beds and a personal kitchenette. 

Apart from this, the student living on-campus will get access to other facilities, including a games room, cardio and aerobic facilities, an outdoor patio along with barbecue, on-site meeting facilities, and on-site laundry and kitchen facilities, and a lounge with wireless internet service.
