Mount Royal University

Campus

The main campus of the Mount Royal University is the Lincoln Park campus. Apart from this, there is the Spring bank campus. The campus of the university has many facilities. The university also has a library known as Riddell library that is about four-storey and includes all the essential credentials.  It opened on September 7, 2017, and the library contains components such as videos, journals, prints, and so and so. The online database of the library comprised audiovisual, primary sources as well as several eBooks. 

Research

In terms of research, the Mount Royal University has been an active participant where it did it conduct research and acknowledged its students by giving them opportunities to engage in research activities to expand their learning. Many students have submitted their research papers and have achieved success. The university focuses on many grounds and conducts research. Some of the grounds are business and communities, innovation and entrepreneurship, business education, and institutions and markets. 

There are CCDR or Centre for Community Disaster Research and Anthropology Research Lab, which acts as a research center. The university also has a research center in the Department of Sociology. There are several staff members in the department of sociology and anthropology that are affiliated with the CCDR. 

Programs and Academic Groups

The university provides a total number of 12 degrees and 32 majors. It offers various programs in bachelor’s degree, diplomas, community service-learning citation, and certificates. 

The university has six faculties which are as follows:

• Faculty of Arts
• Faculty of Science and Technology
• Faculty of Health, Community, and Education
• School of Communication Studies
• Faculty of Continuing Education and Extension 

Student Life

In the accommodation case, the university offers two options of west residence and east residence that the students can choose from. Both the residencies are somewhat close to most of the Mount Royal Facilities. The west residence has one/two/four-bedroom apartments and four-bedroom townhouses, while the east residence has one/two/four-bedroom townhouses that are specially arranged into triads. 

 To be more specific about residences, they will get to choose either apartments or townhouse units. Each residence will have full privacy with bedrooms that are lock-enabled and shared kitchens and living rooms with their roommate. The university also has the facilities of guest accommodation which are available for non-students guests.
