Laurentian University is a bilingual public university in Sudbury, Canada. The campus was launched in 1913 as a college of the Roman Catholic Church. In 1957, the institution started offering degrees at the University of Sudbury, and in 1960, a merge-up between the Roman Catholic and Anglican Churches formed the Laurentian University.

The institution has campuses located at Sudbury, Barrie, Hearst, Kapuskasing, and Timmins. Laurentian University hosts around 9000 students undertaking both undergraduate and post-graduate courses and 900 staff members.
