Campuses and University Numbers

The school has various campuses. They include the Melbourne campus, Albury-wadonga campus, Mildura campus, Bendigo campus, Sydney campus, Shepparton campus, and an online campus. The total number of students in the university is more than 38, 639. Of the total, more than 9160 are international students. More than 110 countries are represented. It also has more than 3246 staff members. The university has more than 200,000 alumni.  

Schools and Colleges

The La Trobe University offers courses in different colleges and schools. The major colleges are College of Arts, Social Science and Commerce and College of Science, Health and Engineering. The schools include School of Education, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Allied Health, School of Human Services and Sport, School of Applied Systems Biology, School of Cancer Medicine, School of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences, School of Life Sciences, School of Nursing and Midwifery, La Trobe Business School and La Trobe Law School.

Research

The school is known for its involvement in research. It partners with various international institutions in its research activities. A few of the partners are Sheffield Hallam University, Kyushu University, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, and European X-ray Free Electron Laser Facility.

Student Life

The La Trobe University provides students with on campus accommodation. For students who wish to live outside campus, off campus accommodation is available. The school supports mothers by providing childcare services. Students have the opportunity to take part in volunteering activities. Sports facilities such as swimming pool and gyms are also available.
