Kwantlen Polytechnic University

Campus

The university has a total number of five campuses. The campuses of the university are Surrey, Richmond, Langley, Cloverdale, and Whalley. Surrey’s campus is known as the main campus of the university and is one of the largest campuses among the other four campuses.

 In Richmond’s case, it was originally the first campus established by the university and has university fashion and design programs and various art and business courses. In the Langley campus, the School of Horticulture of the university is located along with its music programs. Cloverdale campus consists of the university’s Trades and Technology programs.

All the campuses of the universities have their library, and the Surrey campus has the largest one. In the library, many valuable items such as online journals, articles, prints, and newspapers are stored.   

Research 

Kwantlen Polytechnic University has also actively engaged in several types of research where they also encourage their students in research. Some of the university’s research institutes are the applied genomics center, the institute for sustainable horticulture, and the institute for sustainable food systems. 

Programs and Academic Groups

The Kwantlen Polytechnic University offers around 140 programs through its seven faculties. Students can do their degree, certificate, diploma, citation, or even apprenticeships in the university. 

The university lets its students undertake courses of a specific duration. The students can choose to take the course either full-time or part-time, attending classes either morning, afternoon, or evening. Besides this, it also offers online courses as well.

Student Life 

In the case of accommodation, the university does not provide any on-campus accommodation to their student, so the students need to look for options such as homestays, off-campus accommodation, and rentals. The students can opt for any of the three options according to their convenience. 

The students can look for some of the homestays, student accommodations, and rental options on the university’s official website. However, the university’s official website recommends students to live at homestays, short-term accommodation, or student residence in the first month of moving to Canada.
