Algoma University is an open public university in Canada. It was founded in 1965 as an affiliated college of Laurentian University in Sudbury. Later on, it was renamed to the Cambrian College, and again in 2008, it was renamed to Algoma University.

Algoma University is located at 1520 Queen, St E, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 2G4, Canada. It was established after the merging of Algoma University College and Laurentian University. The institution holds around 1100 undergraduate students and 75 academic staff.
The institution has three campuses located at Sault Ste, Marie, Timmins campus, and Brampton campus. Algoma University offers facilities like academic and administrative buildings, convergence Centre, athletics and recreation, and the speakeasy student Centre.
