WEST JUTLAND UNIVERSITY COLLEGE

West Jutland University College was founded in January 2008 as a professional university college in Esbjerg, Denmark. It was among the eight new institutes in the region to offer bachelor courses of all kinds in Jutland’s western part.

CAMPUS

West Jutland University College hosted around3000 students and 350 staff members. In January 2011, West Jutland University was merged with the University College of South and University College of South Denmark and its headquarters is based at Esbjerg. Recently, the campus offers programs taught in Danish only.

STUDENTS LIFE 

West Jutland University College has a short walking distance, a self-catered, sized, secure, and comfortable accommodation facility. It also allows students to acquire private rented facilities in Esbjerg and its surrounding areas. Esbjerg city offers a wide range of homes but the institution advice for conscious selection by its students.

RESEARCH

West Jutland University College has a tradition for participating in international research projects. The institution aims to enhance its professional focus and fulfill the obligation of developing new knowledge by combining theories, practical work, and research for the best practice and innovations. In most cases combined effort of students, educators, researchers, and professionals from different fields work wonders.

PROGRAMMES AND ACADEMIC GROUPS

The West Jutland University College has a professional focus as they combine theoretical studies, innovative work, and applied research with practical implementation.

The institution has three faculties: Faculty of Education, Faculty of Health Professionals, and Faculty of Community Professionals. Bachelor courses offered under the three faculties include; Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Midwifery, Teaching, Public Administration, Pedagogue, Social Worker, and Nursing.
