The campus covers an area of 104 acres and is situated in a familial area on the east side of Milwaukee. The campus comprises 4 quads that is north, west, central and northwest quads. In the central part of campus, 3 parts of the library are west, east, and the top wing. The north quad has a conservation center and residential halls. There are also indoor sports facilities at the center of the north quad. The west quad has different departments like the college of engineering, architecture school, etc. The northwest quad consists of a hospital and some building complexes.
Research
It is a highly research-based university. There are several research centers in the university where distinct researchers execute their plans and ideas. There is also a research foundation known as the UVM research foundation. This foundation dispense management in properties, some partnership services, etc.
Programs and Academic groups
The university offers 300+ different academic disciplines such as engineering, applied science, architecture, etc. Apart from this, the university also provides some academic programs in sports, communication, etc. There is a total of 15 athletics teams in the university known as Panthers athletics. Here students get the chance to showcase their sports skills in football, basketball, and many other sports activities. The university consists of 100+ student organizations in media, sports, communication and also has some clubs like political, cultural, religious, etc.
Students Life
The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee has the biggest residence hall known as Sandburg Halls, which can accommodate approximately 2600 students. Apart from these residential halls, students also occupy some tariff houses and apartments.
