University of Vechta

Campus 

The University of Vechta campus is not in a particular campus, but it is spread in the whole city of Tubingen.  There are sports facilities and a library linked to the university library. The students have access to the library facilities, sports stadium, computer center, and language and media center. It houses the oldest library open to both the general public and university students. 

Research

The University of Vechtais a leading institution among the research-based universities in Europe. There are research facilities available in each department. They have 20 departments and 7 institutes to promote research in a broader perspective. It constitutes 200 doctoral research scientists, 60 professorships, and 170 research scientists. 

Programs and Academic Groups

The University imparts education through its faculties. They are the faculty of philosophy, social work, teacher training, and the faculty of gerontology. 

Student Life 

The university has the facility for accommodating international students. The students can reside in guest houses and shared rooms under the administration of the student union. The residence halls include the Female Student Residence St. Dominikus, the Studentenwohnpark, the Student residence Sonnenkamp. There is also a facility for a private residence in the town.
