The University of Oulu has two campuses out of which is the main campus which is located in Linnanmaa. The main campus consists of six faculties and four institutes, Museum and Botanical Gardens, the Tellus innovation area, and the university library pegasus. Another campus known as Kontinkanga Campus consists of the Faculty of Medicine and Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine.

Research

The University of Oulu researches in around 70 research areas, among which four focus institutes coordinate five research areas. Not just that, the university has given rise to more than 60 research-based companies.

Student Life

Oulu is considered the best place to study. In terms of housing, the Student Housing Foundation of Northern Finland is one of the leading providers in Oulu. The organization offers considerable rents to the students for housing. There is a new international student house known as Aurora that is constructed just beside the office of the student housing organization and accommodates students who are pursuing an international degree.
