Campus

University’s campus is up to 667 acres spread across the South-eastern region of Houston with 14 academic colleges, 40+ research centers, and institutes with several green spaces, fountains, and sculptures. The University campus consists of 5 central districts and regions, for example, The District of Arts, The District of Professional Disciplines, The Inner Campus Area, etc. Other than these regions, there are several other facilities like Health and Wellness Centres, Gymnasiums, Automatic Parking Lots, Lighted Path walks, and excellent Residential Establishments for both scholars and faculty members.  

Research

This university is listed among the class R1 Doctoral Institutions conducting $150 million in research. University’s Energy Research Park consists of 74 acres and 19 acres of undeveloped land.

Programs and Academic Groups

The University offers 282+ Undergraduate, Post Graduate, and Doctorate programs in Pharmaceutical Studies, Justice & Law, Engineering, and Sciences. The University awards more than 9,000 degrees annually. 400+ student organizations and 17 intercollegiate sports teams. The official student newspaper is The Cougar, since 1927.

Student Life

The University of Houston, in terms of residential facilities, consists of numerous dormitories, residential halls, apartment series, and many more establishments like the Moody Towers. Almost 15% of UH students live on campus. Cougar Village I & II, The Quadrangle, Cambridge Oaks and Cullen Oaks, etc., enroll over 3600 scholars every year. Welcoming peaceful communities all around, Sports Events, Concerts, and Shows, Gaming Arenas, etc., are some of the luxuries here.
