Campus

There are two university campuses where one is situated in Joensuu, and the other campus is located in Kuopio. The Joensuu campus has the Joensuu Science park. In contrast, the Kuopio campus has the KPY Novapolis building, which acts as a home to the Kuopio Science Park and the other departments. About the city, there are numerous running paths, swimming pools, skiing tracks and more which may interest the student and will make the student life fun and full of enjoyment. 

Research 

The University of Eastern Finland research is centered on four global challenges that are diversifying learning and interaction, environmental change and sustainable use of natural resources, aging, lifestyle and health and environmental change, and sustainable use of natural resources. 

Programs and academic groups

The University of Eastern Finland offers education to its students through the following faculties:

• The Faculty of Science and Forestry
• The Faculty of Health Sciences
• The Philosophical Faculty
• The Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies

Student Life

The university offers accommodation to its students as well. Most of the apartments that are provided to the students are unfurnished, and few of them are furnished. The student must inform the preference while applying for accommodation. Besides this, the students can also opt for private accommodation, which groups manage outside the university.
