Campus
University’s main campus is located in Newark, with satellite campuses in Dover, the Wilmington area, Georgetown and Lewes. The university educates around 4,200 post-graduate and 18,200 undergraduate students. The Main Campus has many residential & educational buildings. Memorial Hall is at the center of the campus. The buildings are found in a tight, sticking Georgian aesthetic design. Laird Campus has many living/sleeping rooms, a conference center, and a hotel. South Campus offers agricultural schools, sports stadiums, and the Science, Technology, and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus.
Research
University of Delaware has extremely high research activity. As reported by the National Science Foundation, in 2018, the University spent $186 million on development and research in the fields of Science & Technology and Agriculture.
Program and Academic Groups
The University of Delaware offers 121 master’s programs, 55 doctoral programs, and 148 bachelor’s programs. The university is designed in nine colleges and five schools. In 1952, the first MBA program was started. The students can decide from programs in visual and performing arts, social and natural sciences, etc.
Student Life
Currently, there are two student publications, television and radio stations, The Review and UDress. Transmitting facilities are available. WVUD is run by students, one or two staff members, and community members. The radio station has a diversity of programming. It features music and formats of talk. STN is an educational television station that is run by students and is non-commercial. The station telecasts second-run movies, authentic student-produced content, and lives coverage of sports.
