UCM consists of 2 primary campus destinations and has a virtual presence at the WAF Base. The campus of the university occupies 1,561 acres of land. Students can choose to stay in a Special Housing Interest Program, which brings in students with the same study program together in the halls of residence.
Research

Program and Academic Group
The university provides 150 programs of study, including 27 areas of teacher certification, 37 graduate programs, and 10 pre-professional programs. A Greek program, known as GAMMA, promotes alcohol awareness. The university consists of several schools and institutions, including the School of Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities, whose courses develop critical thinking, speaking skills, and writing. UCM also offers the National Council for Social Studies and the National Association of Schools of Music. The university has 200+ student organizations with academic, cultural, community service, recreational, and special interest clubs and associations.
Student Life
The University of Central Missouri offers 20+ intramural sports, free movie nights, a movie theatre, and a bowling alley in the student union. UCM is connected to 26 Greek organizations. Recruitment takes place in the fall and spring semesters. The university has KMOS-TV and a weekly newspaper and offers sports like basketball, baseball, women’s bowling, softball, American football, golf, women’s soccer, wrestling, cross-country, track, and volleyball.
