Campus

The area of the main campus of UTD is 445 acres. It contains a Visitor Centre, Bookstore, parking lots and some parts of the Founders Building. The first campus creation idea looked for the brutalist-style architecture of concrete, skywalks, and a monorail, far from the conventional red brick style. Many old buildings are off-white, pale, firm concrete with repeating structures. To offer safety from cold weather and high temperatures, many buildings are joined by a series of raised indoor walking ways, also known as sky bridges.

Research

The University of Texas at Dallas stands out by rapid growth in research and its competitive undergraduate admissions policies since its establishment. UTD has Highest Research Activity, speedy than any other school in Texas. It has the most notable research projects like Bioengineering, Nanotechnology, Behavioural, and Brain Sciences, Cybersecurity, and Space Science. UTD hosts 50+ research institutes and centers.

Program and Academic Groups

UTD provides 140+ academic programs. It has an athletics program and fields 14 teams from inside of the college. Since 2012, UTD has been seen on the Princeton Review Best Value list annually. MBA program ranked first in 2017. The undergraduate Engineering program is rated 4th in Texas, and in terms of student organizations, 100+ recognized student clubs and associations actively host and participate in discussions and contests. 

Student Life

The University of Texas at Dallas provides an on-campus living facility for students. They appreciate the comfort and feeling of home while being very near to class. UTD has 1237 apartments and 5 residential halls. The University has promised to offer a living, educational and working environment that’s respectful and welcoming.
