Campus

The university sits on a total of 1,880 acres of urban campus, and the main campus is located in the city of Iowa. The campus has a capacity of 5 main buildings, for instance, MacBride Hall and Jessup Hall. The campus consists of individual buildings for Chemistry, Biology, and psychology. The main library is also on the east campus.

Research

The university provides three prominent Institutes for Research, first is the public policy Center (PPC) which includes research in Land use, Environmental, Housing and Health, Social Science, Human Factors, and Transportation. Second is the Institute of Agricultural Medicines it was established in the year 1955. Third is IIHR- Hydroscience and Engineering, which provides research in the field of Hydraulic Science.

Programs and Academic Groups

The University provides 300+ UG, PG, and Ph.D. disciplines in Arts, Sciences, Engineering, Health care, Law, and many more. The university also provides a separate department for religious studies. It has 500 student Organizations and various Clubs for the students to perform the cocurricular Activities.

Student life

The university provides an accommodation strength of 10,000-20,000 students as nearly 33,000, and even more, students take admission every year. There are six residence halls on the east side of the campus to ensure a comfortable stay for all full-time scholars and faculty members, namely, the Becker Communication Building, The Iowa Memorial Union, etc.
