The Royal Danish Academy of Music (Danish: Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium), Frederiksberg, was inaugurated in 1867 by Neil Gade, The senior-most official of the Academy of his time. It became a national state institution in 1949 under the protection of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. It was formerly situated on H.C. Andersen’s Boulevard from where it was relocated into Radiohuset on 1st September 2008.
