Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts consists of five institutions: Kunstakademiets Designskole (The School of Design), Kunstakademiets Billedkunstskoler (The School of Visual Arts), Kunstakademiets Arkitektskole (The School of Architecture), Kunstakademiets Konservatorskole (The School of Conservation) and Det Kongelige Akademi for de Skønne Kunster. Every organization excels in producing brilliants artists every year.
Research
Research conducted at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts is a blend of academic, artistic, and professional practice to explore art and education’s uncharted territories. The gist to discover, create and invent something new is highly encouraged here. Numerous research centers such as CITA, CINARK and Centre for Visibility Design are dedicated to experimenting profoundly in the respective fields.
Programs and Academic Groups
The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts provides a wide range of educational courses. Bachelor’s degree programs are taught primarily in Danish, while master’s degree programs are expounded in both English and Danish to welcome more and more international students. Architecture & Landscape, Visual Game and Media Design, Spatial Design are some of the programs available.
Student Life
The Schools of Architecture and Design have a united party committee called DEAR, which throws fun and exciting parties for students to enjoy themselves. Other student unions at KADK hold parties every once a month and run the Friday Bar in the cafeteria.
