Lulea University of technology is located in Lulea, Sweden. Though the university was established on 1 June 1971, it gained university status in 1997, and the Swedish government granted it the status and hence came to be known as ‘Lulea University of technology. There are around 15,500 students in the university.

Campus

There are four campuses in the university, among which the main campus is located in Lulea itself. The other three campuses are located in Kiruna, Pitea, and Skelleftea. In the Kiruna campus, there is space science, whereas, in Pitea, the department of music and media is located. Wood technology, 3D graphics, and computer game engineering are located in Skelleftea.

Research

The Lulea University of Technology is involved in research, and it has collaborated with numerous research Centres and has conducted and concluded many types of research. The research that the university hosts is fruitful to society and benefits most aspects of life.

Programs and academic groups

In the university, a total number of 17 master programs will be provided to the students. In masters, programs such as Civil Engineering, Wood technology, Spacecraft design, Climate Sensitive Urban Planning are offered.

Student Life

In terms of accommodation, the Skibo offers residences to the students living on the Skelleftea campus. Other than that, students can also find accommodation in the Kirunabostader area. Each apartment is accommodated with a parking lot. Besides this, Pite Bo offers accommodation to its students with telephone connections, television, and internet access.
