Aarhus School of Business, Denmark was founded in 1939 as a practical business school. It was the predecessor of Jutland Business School, and between 1939 and 1969, several faculties and departments were introduced to the school. The Aarhus School of Business and the Faculty of Social Sciences were merged up in 2011 and named Aarhus University, School of Business and Social Sciences.

Aarhus School of business continued growing until 1968, when it moved from its original location to yellow and red brick buildings. They set up a research and teaching outstanding Centre, and it is now located at Aarhus and Herning in Denmark.

After the merger in 2011, the school now hosts around 16000 students, 700 academic staff, and 200 Ph.D. students making the institution one of the biggest business schools in Europe.

STUDENTS LIFE

The campus in Aarhus and Herning offers several facilities; a university sport that holds more than 16 games, a Friday bar, student organizations like the Students Council and the Students Lauget, cafeterias, and Aarhus students house and klubben.

Accommodation is also readily available at the University Park dormitories.

RESEARCH

The business school had three research centers: the Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research, the National Centre for Register-Based Research, and the Danish Centre for Studies in Research. Each research policy was integrated within an individual department.

Aarhus school of business and social sciences, being one of the four faculties of Aarhus University, has seven active departments, namely, Economics and Business Economics, Management, Political Science, Law, Business Communication, Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, and Business Development and Technology.
