The university is located in the northeast end of the city of Lyngby. The campus is divided by the road Anker Engelunds Vej. The campus of the university is divided into four parts, and it is referred to as the quadrants. The university campuses are named DTU Lyngby Campus, DTU Risø Campus, DTU Ballerup Campus, and DTU Sisimiut Campus.

Research

The university has three wind turbine test centers located at Høvsøre in Lemvig, DTU Risø Campus in Roskilde and Østerild close to Thisted. The university also has 16 test stands for DTU Wind Energy.
