Campus

The university campus is at Hatley Park National Historic Site and covers around 260 hectares of land. The campus has some breathtaking views as well. On the campus, you will find scenic beauties such as the west coast’s flora and fauna, walking, hiking, and biking trails, along with some beautiful views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. 

Not just that, the university also has a library on its campus. In the library, you will find almost everything ranging from eBooks to newspapers to books to journals. 

Research

Royal Roads University encourages its students to engage in research activities by enabling them to conduct research and preparing projects. Over the years, the students have conducted and prepared various projects, some of which include home energy efficiency, the electric car, life cycle assessment of a solar thermal system, and so and so. 

Programs and Academic Groups

The university offers courses at graduate, undergraduate, and doctorate levels to its students. It provides programs following three formats where the first format is where the students will get entire physical teaching and the second format is where the students will be offered both face-to-face and online teaching. The last format is where the students will get education entirely online. 

Some of the university’s courses include doctor of business administration, Masters of Arts in Environment and Management, Masters of Arts in Global Leadership, Graduate Diploma in Disaster and Emergency Management, Graduate Certificate in Global leadership, and Graduate Diploma in Disaster and Emergency Management Certificate in Management Consulting and more. 

Student Life

The Royal Roads University offers perfect accommodation to its students where they choose from the option of private single rooms, double rooms, or dormitory-style suites along with shareable washrooms. 

The accommodations are located initially on the Colwood campus in Nixon and Milward buildings. In terms of residence lounges, the students get access to the facilities of fridges, microwaves, toasters, kettles, cutlery, and coffee makers. Apart from all this, there is a cafe known as Habitat Café that provides meals for purchase every single day of the week. 

If the students want to live off-campus, they can do so by opting for the same. On the university’s official website, there is a link for Solo Suites situated 2kms away from Royal Roads. In that suit, the students will get furnished short-term rentals.
